ONGOING WORKSHOP ON MOLECULAR BIOLOGY TECHNIQUES TRAINS ZOOLOGY POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS AT UI
Department of Zoology, University of Ibadan is currently hosting a Workshop on Molecular Biology Techniques for its postgraduate students at the Molecular Biology Laboratory. The intensive, hands-on workshop is designed to equip graduate students with core practical skills in modern molecular biology. Participants are currently undergoing practical sessions on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) techniques and Gel Electrophoresis. Facilitators noted that the training will bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and laboratory practice, thereby enhancing the research capacity of the students and preparing them for cutting-edge research in genetics, biodiversity, and conservation biology. The workshop underscores the Department’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates with relevant 21st-century laboratory competencies.
