THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN NOMINEES OF AFE BABALOLA CENTRE FOR TRANSNATIONAL EDUCATION AT KING’S COLLEGE LONDON, POSTGRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN ONLINE LEARNING & TEACHING

The Afe Babalola Centre for Transnational Education (ABC), King’s College London, invited three academic staff from the University of Ibadan in August 2024 to join King’s College London academics, staff members and other academic staff across Africa for a curriculum co-creation aimed at developing a "train the trainers" initiative to enhance community educational capacity across the African continent. 

Academics and other experts from African countries for the Postgraduate Certificate in Online Learning & Teaching submitted their applications. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnership (RISP), Prof Oluyemisi Bamigbose, who was saddled with the responsibility of selecting six nominees, received suggestions on nominations from the faculties in the University. Six lecturers were shortlisted from the list of eligible candidates (Lecturer I, Senior Lecturer and Reader) from various faculties in the University. The shortlisted candidates went through two stages of screening. The second stage was completed through a formal application on King's College, London’s portal.

The following academic staff members committed to interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration will represent the University of Ibadan.

Dr. Iyanuoluwa O. Ojo, the Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Faculty of Nursing.

Dr Adebunmi O. Oyekola, the Department of Counselling and Human Development Studies, Faculty of Education. 

Dr Folake  M. Tafita, the Department of Private and Property Law, Faculty of Law. 

Dr Esther Oyefeso, the Department of Special Education, Faculty of Education.

Dr D. A. Adewole, the Department of Health Policy and Management, Faculty of Public Health. 

Dr I. O. Dipeolu from the Department of Health Promotion and Education, Faculty of Public Health.
